A Year In The Rear View

Check the rear view mirror of your life for this past year. You may find some very interesting things fading into the past. For me, I became keenly aware that the loss of a prominent person in my life was an opportunity for me to take stock in my own contributions to the lives of those around me. Am I creating a legacy of hope, kindness and motivation or am I giving others a reason to say good riddens? Be it good, bad or indifferent, it is what you make it, so be sure of who and what you are today so that your yesterday will be exactly what you want it to be. What say you |

How often have you found yourself entrenched in a project with the full intent to deliver a job well done only to be distracted so many times that you lose sight of the task at hand. Oftentimes we feel that it is the task but in reality, its the distractions. Its not the job, its the people. Too often, people become so involved with what they want that they fail to see you as in important an aspect as they. Don't take it out on the job; address the people. Not with anger and venom, but with love and kindness. After-all, its not just the job, its really people. So the next time you find yourself at odds with the stress of your job, talk to the people and remind them that you're a person too and there is only so much that you can do. |
Life Evolves Sometimes In Reverse

Sometimes we must take 1 step back to get 2 steps ahead. As a child, my mother would tell me to step back to get ahead but it just didn't make sense to me then. Now I understand fully what she was trying to tell me. As adults, we work so fast and hard to reach the next plateau that we don't realize that we've missed a step or two along the way. We often get to a point in our lives where we simply can't get ahead. It is here, at this point of frustration, that we must take a moment to reflect and re-assess that which we have done to ensure that we have not skipped ahead of ourselves and our goals by moving too fast. Take a moment now and look back over your path to see if you have missed or skipped a step that you really need to make in order to get to that next level in your life. Let me know how this works for you. In the meantime, Have a Great Day and an even Better Night Le'Kese |
