A Year In The Rear View

Check the rear view mirror of your life for this past year. You may find some very interesting things fading into the past. For me, I became keenly aware that the loss of a prominent person in my life was an opportunity for me to take stock in my own contributions to the lives of those around me. Am I creating a legacy of hope, kindness and motivation or am I giving others a reason to say good riddens? Be it good, bad or indifferent, it is what you make it, so be sure of who and what you are today so that your yesterday will be exactly what you want it to be. What say you |

How often have you found yourself entrenched in a project with the full intent to deliver a job well done only to be distracted so many times that you lose sight of the task at hand. Oftentimes we feel that it is the task but in reality, its the distractions. Its not the job, its the people. Too often, people become so involved with what they want that they fail to see you as in important an aspect as they. Don't take it out on the job; address the people. Not with anger and venom, but with love and kindness. After-all, its not just the job, its really people. So the next time you find yourself at odds with the stress of your job, talk to the people and remind them that you're a person too and there is only so much that you can do. |
Life Evolves Sometimes In Reverse

Sometimes we must take 1 step back to get 2 steps ahead. As a child, my mother would tell me to step back to get ahead but it just didn't make sense to me then. Now I understand fully what she was trying to tell me. As adults, we work so fast and hard to reach the next plateau that we don't realize that we've missed a step or two along the way. We often get to a point in our lives where we simply can't get ahead. It is here, at this point of frustration, that we must take a moment to reflect and re-assess that which we have done to ensure that we have not skipped ahead of ourselves and our goals by moving too fast. Take a moment now and look back over your path to see if you have missed or skipped a step that you really need to make in order to get to that next level in your life. Let me know how this works for you. In the meantime, Have a Great Day and an even Better Night Le'Kese |

There is nothing more troubling that reporting for work daily with the uncertainty of continued employment. Having these troubling feelings are not new for most people, but the difference between those who arrive with confidence and those who arrive concerned is their presentation. How well do you present yourself? Knowing what works in a business setting is one thing, but presenting yourself as the working component is another. Your personal self is equal to a package being presented. Do you know how your package looks to those in charge of your career? Not sure, consider contacting an image consultant. Le’Kese Professional Service is here to help you present the best image possible. |
Remember To Think Of Others

This is the perfect time to think of others as you make plans to close this year on a good note. January will be here soon and as most traditionally do, when developing your new year resolution, make sure you incorporate others in this annual plan. Some great ways of considering others around you can be as simple as the each-one teach-one concept. Take a little time to talk to a young adult or teenager. Offer a little encouragement while listening as a friend. Tell them how much the two of your life experiences are the same and share with them how you overcame your own obstacles. Kids, teens and young adults have a harder time coping today than those of yesterday, so every chance we as seasoned adults have to influence them will prove to be beneficial to both they and us. Remember, we are all twice a child and only once an adult. The children of today will be the adults caring for us tomorrow. Enjoy you day and share a smile with someone else. PKT |

The best way to stand out in crowd is to shine. In an employment world that has to weed through thousands of candidates, having the best presentation is the most effective way to rise to the top of the potential candidate list. Making a first impression only happens once, so why not make the most of that one time opportunity. Look well, speak well and act well are great starters to a first impression. More significantly than looking the part is living the part that you present. To do this, we must start early and the early start begins with mentoring and parenting. Have you helped someone make a great first impression today? |
